COVID-19 Update

Don’t put your passport away yet!

As you know almost every country has closed their borders. We are evaluating our short-term trips on a case by case basis as the COVID-19 situation changes almost every day.
Q. When will I know if my trip is postponed?
A. We will inform you as soon as we hear from the field regarding a cancellation or postponement of your particular trip.  At this time all short term trips are cancelled or postponed until June 30th.

Q. What happens if a plane ticket has already been purchased?
A. Cancellation or rebooking fees range from $100-350 per ticket.  Some airlines are waiving or reducing these fees. We have been advised by our travel agency to hold tickets until a final decision is made regarding the trip.

Q. What about donations that have already been made to my trip?
A. All donations can be held to be used towards your new itinerary. Personal donations and donor contributions will be refundable less a percentage for fees where applicable. Fees may include administration, airline or processing fees. Each donation refund will be considered on a case by case situation so please don’t hesitate to contact us in the Global Engage office to request or discuss your refund.

Q. Should I continue to raise funds?
A. Please inform your potential donors that you are putting fundraising on hold but that you will contact them should your trip move forward.

Q. What should I do while I wait on the status of my trip?
A. Pray.  Set a time each day to pray specifically for the people groups related to your trip. Pray for Field Workers on the ground in those area as they continue to bring the Gospel message to those who may be experiencing fear or other problems because of COVID-19 restrictions. Seek to share with internationals around you, the message of peace that a relationship with God brings as they may be separated from loved ones or unable to return to their home country.
We serve The Sovereign God who is not alarmed by or unaware of our circumstances. Keep your focus on Him and others. We are discussing innovative ways to continue working with our TSC Field Workers and other partnerships as we seek to Pray, Partner and Plant among the nations!  If you have any concerns or questions please don’t hesitate to connect with us.

4 ways to go

At The Summit Church, we take seriously Jesus' command to go to the nations. When spirit-filled teaching and worship happens, the hearts of our people will be stirred and awakened in obedience to God's call on their life!
“We must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God.” -John Stott
